Life:
As well as my enthusiasm for Art, I enjoy reading about travel, history and different cultures. Environmental issues and current affairs are also of great importance to me. I love to be surrounded by nature, especially the rainforest and the sea.
Over my years abroad, I have enjoyed gaining many scuba diving qualifications, having had a lifetime fascination for marine biology. I gained my PADI Divemaster qualification in May 2007. My dive leading experience has been valuable, increasing my organisational abilities; working with others as part of a team and helping my customers build on their skills.
For four years, I volunteered part time at Sanctuary Farm, Orosi, Costa Rica, where I learned to build structures from recycled materials such as used bottles, tyres and cans. As part of my role at Sanctuary, I co-ordinated volunteers and was in charge of the kitchen. I ran workshops teaching natural building techniques and cooking with local foods.
Working at more festivals every year, I enjoy creating alongside other artists and musicians to put together multimedia events. For many years I have made large scale signs and murals for Boomtown Festival. For the past 5 years I managed the signage department at Envision Festival in Costa Rica. I have traveled extensively around Europe, South East Asia, North America and Central America which has given me a sense of self reliance and self assurance that is useful in my work and in my life.
